Day Two – Berlin, Germany

Hello again,

Today we are in Berlin

Berlin Street

Berlin, as you know is twinned with Denistoun, in the east end of Glasgow, and also with Tooting, in London. But more of that later. Firstly the most important event of the the day, super Isright gave me a brand new coat.

My new coat

Isn’t it lovely? Am I not lucky? Wonderful!!!

Today’s Gig Art

berlin gig art

I’ve decided to run a competition for the best “Gig Art” of the tour. Today’s entry is internally lit!!! Contained within the glass is a series of stringy things all lit up with wires and stuff. I was stunned. It’s got to be a contender.

Here’s Johnny

He loved it.

Not so impressed are the dudes waiting for something important to happen

ho hum

Today’s Dinner

my dinner in berlin

As with the “Gig art” I am running a contest for “Dinner of the Tour”. Cast your votes at the end. It’s going to outdo X Factor I reckon with viewers tactically voting.

the lido, berlin

So back to the “Twinning Conection”. Like Berlin, Dennistoun in the east end of Glasgow has a Lido Theatre. Glasgow’s is a touch blue, and I’m not talking football here you know. St Dennis, the patron Saint and inventor of the cineamatic electric projector is said to have passed by Berlin on his way to a papal visit in 1672, letting slip the secret of film to the media starved locals whilst round the pole. Tooting, on the other hand, has a swimming pool. Not much of a story that, Johnny.
